Soda Blasting

Soda Blasting is also known as abrasive waterjetting and is used from light residential cleaning to heavy industrial applications.

Silica sand blasting was the way to go for many years but has many drawbacks and has thus become less popular. Transportation costs, environmental concerns and health reasons are some of the reasons contractors have switched to Soda blast media.

Soda blasting uses water soluble abrasives. They are typically softer than traditional types and have the advantage of being used around rotating equipment, glass and other surfaces that may be harmed. Silica sand must be collected and disposed of whereas water-soluble material offers quick, easy and inexpensive disposal.

We use a "suction" system that draws the blast media into our water jet from the hopper using a venturi vacuum.

Gum Removal

One of the most annoying and unsightly contaminants for any business is discarded gum along the entranceway. Gum is also one of the hardest to remove. Simple scraping would take hours on end and be moderately effective. A much more sensible approach would be to blast with HOT water with HIGH pressure. Aqua Pro has both!

NOTE: Although 99% of gum will be removed, a slight gum "shadow" may remain. This is further resolved with the appropriate solvents and may add to the total quote.
